Love this neighbourhood Thai place. The menu is extensive and has choices for everyone in your party (even some non-Thai alternatives, for some people). The food comes out pretty fast, and their corkage fee is very fair ($5). For the spicy food lovers in your life, the spice level can be customisable. The only reason I'm docking a star is that sometimes the service can be lax regarding attentiveness or staging the meal. So even though the waitresses can be a bit aggressive, in the end they are trying to get you your meal fast and make sure that you are getting everything you want.
Food poisoning is the worst. Food poisoning accompanied by sever cramps, no sleep, and nausea is unforgivable. After calling the Resturant to warn them that the Soup or Shrimp dishes my roommate and I consumed caused us stomach problems (this meal was the only meal we shared today) they said they would "look into it". No follow up. No refund. No concern or acknowledgment. Now I know this kind of food can cause a cramp here and there. I know this food isn't always the freshest and you pay for what you get. But serving food that could put someone in the hospital is dangerous. And I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.
We found this nice Thai place in October 14 and have been eating there weekly since. It normally would violate one my foodie principles - fusion. However, Mae Ploy offer really good Thai dishes from a wonderfully friendly staff. The noodles, larb, curries, and seafood are the real deal. It took time to be accepted for the real Thai heat and spice. Let me assure you that it is warm and inviting.
I went there with my friends last week. The servers were very friendly. The food was very tasty, my favorite was the Coconut soup. Their shrimp Pad Thai was great as well, and the prices very reasonable. I recommend this place.
I really wanted to give this restaurant a good rating. Some times the food is just as I’ve ordered and absolutely delicious. Unfortunately, about half the time the kitchen screws up. Tonight is one of multiple times I’ve ordered mild and received super spicy food. I actually like spicy food, but am unable to eat it because of a health problem. They have refused to refund me for the dish I ordered. 50/50 doesn’t cut it and them not making it right means I have to put their rating where it belongs, in the toilet. Get rid of whoever is in the kitchen ruining things, or else your business will flounder.
The first time I went here I realized that they uniquely cooked orange chicken its pretty good! The place itself feels like your eating just at home! I definitely would come back again plus the service is quick and the people that work here are friendly :D
This place never gets old for me. I've tried other Thai food restaurants but this is still my favorite! The seafood soup is delicious. The tempura shrimp is also recommended, it's like a mix of breaded shrimp and breaded veggies.
When it was there it was an amazing establishment. I had been going since high school! They took it down and i hear they are relocating. I will follow this place wherever they go. I drive from Orange County just to go. The pineapple fried rice is amazing as well as the curry.
excellent place, delicious food
